All about us
Beautiful Extensive grounds
At Bell Farm we are very fortunate to have such beautiful and extensive outdoor space. We have a number of large playgrounds that are split depending on use; ball playground, adventure playground, middle playground and year 1 playground. Our youngest children in Reception have all-day access to our excellent outdoor play facilities, including climbing equipment, bikes, sand and water, trees, wendy houses and reading areas.
We also have a large playing field, great for PE lessons, outdoor learning, and lots of fun in the summer at lunchtime! On the field we have an outdoor classroom for children to use with plenty of benches under the shade of large trees.
Under the gorgeous cherry blossom the children have an outdoor stage area which they can choose to play on. We also hold performances and occasional talent competitions here.
We have a comprehensive before and after school child care programme for working parents. Breakfast club opens at 8am and children can receive a nutritious breakfast including toast or cereal and orange juice or water to drink should you wish.
Treetops is open to all pupils from Reception to Year 6. Held in our dining room, it is run each afternoon from 3:15pm until 6:00pm by Bell Farm staff. This allows us to cater for as many children as necessary, meaning, we will always be able to accommodate your child, even on an adhoc/last minute basis, for those unforeseen incidents. Regularly booked sessions are £10.50, and ad hoc sessions £11.50. We accept childcare vouchers.
You are more than welcome to pop in after school and to see the Treetops in full swing! Please contact the school office to book a suitable time.
Thanks to the tireless fundraising of our Friends of Bell Farm we have two Bell Farm minibuses that give us the freedom to take children to and from various trips and events. This means our local trips can be cheaper without the cost of coach hire to factor in, and for sporting events it allows us to take the children during the school day without having to ask for further parental support. All our drivers are Bell Farm staff and have full mini bus driver training and licenses.
Amazing extracurricular programme
Across the three terms, we run a number of seasonal after school and lunchtime clubs, to engage the children in extracurricular activities. These include various sports and team games, as well as art, drama, gardening and computing.
All clubs are run by Bell Farm staff, are free to attend and run until 4.30pm. We also host external providers who run football, dancing, gymnastics and music lessons at a charge to parents. Full details of this terms clubs and how to book can be found here.
Bell Farm is a Forest School. We have a dedicated outdoor area which specially trained teachers and teaching assistants use with the children to teach them outdoor skills and teamwork.
Forest Schools is a unique learning experience that allows children opportunities to work outside and develop a love of nature through a variety of activities and play. The ethos of Forest Schools is to encourage all involved to learn about the environment that surrounds them and to learn how to manage their own risks. Although risks are pre-assessed by the Forest Schools leader, children will be learning how to make sensible decisions about their own safety and the safety of their group. Activities during this programme of session will include nature trails, art work using natural materials, story-telling, imaginative construction and teamwork games.
The children who have taken part in Forest Schools to date have loved every moment and it has been brilliant to see them flourish. We are very lucky at Bell Farm to have our own Forest Schools area and in future we hope to develop sessions in Whiteley Village woods too.

Friends of Bell Farm
Bell Farm is extremely fortunate to have a highly organised and effective Friends Association. The Friends of Bell Farm School are dedicated to raising funds to help provide equipment and facilities for the enjoyment of all the children and raise a tremendous amount of money for various projects around the school.
All parents are welcome to come along and join in the Friends Meetings, details of which are regularly published in the weekly newsletter. The Friends organises a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including discos, stories by twilight and the extremely successful May Fair.
