At Bell Farm Primary School, we place huge value on the diversity of our children. We currently have 28 different languages in school, spoken by children ranging from completely new to English, to fluently bilingual.

Language is celebrated around the school, with opportunities for children to find out about different countries and learn new words in the main languages spoken at school.

In order to support children in their English development, all EAL children are carefully assessed in line with NALDIC guidelines to allow teachers to effectively support their learning of English.

We have a range of support for new learners of English in school, including:

We have a supportive New Arrival Induction Procedure (click here to download) INSERT DOC AS PDF-EMAILED SEPERATELY) to ensure that children settle in quickly and are happy in school.
